4 Authentic Chinese Recipes

I remember those nights with cool breeze, that reminded me to eat something, but what I never knew back then. I think I wasn’t the only one who felt hungry in such cases. So pals, here I brought some of the most delicious and yet simple Recipe of Chinese Cuisine that by now have quite an impact on our menu which we can’t deny. To make it with your own hands, to fulfill your half-starved yourself, believe me, it tastes like something great that you will try again & again & again.

Here are some of the Dish you can prepare easily without being stressed out if you think, you can’t cook or are bad at it. Don’t worry, every great cook started out just like you. So now read the below recipe and give it a try.

1. Chow mein

–Ingredients–

  • 225g dried or fresh egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, plus 1 tsp
  • 100g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into fine shreds
  • 2½ tbsp groundnut oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 50g mangetout
  • , finely shredded
  • 50g prosciutto
  •  or cooked ham, finely shredded
  • 2 tsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing rice wine or dry sherry
  • ½ tsp freshly ground white pepper
  • ½ tsp golden caster sugar
  • 2 spring onions finely chopped
  • For the marinade
  • 2 tsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Shaoxing rice wine or dry Sherry
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp freshly ground white pepper

    –Method–

Cook 225g egg noodles in a large pan of boiling water for 3-5 mins, then drain and put them in cold water. Drain thoroughly, toss them with 1 tbsp sesame oil and set aside. Combine 100g chicken breasts, cut into fine shreds, with 2 tsp light soy sauce, 2 tsp Shaohsing rice wine or dry sherry, 1 tsp sesame oil, ½ tsp white pepper and ½ tsp salt for the marinade, mix well and then leave to marinate for about 10 mins.

Heat a wok over high heat. Add 1 tbsp groundnut oil and, when it is very hot and slightly smoking, add the chicken shreds. Stir-fry for about 2 mins and then transfer to a plate. Wipe the wok clean, reheat until it is very hot then add 1 ½ tbsp groundnut oil. When the oil is slightly smoking, add the 2 finely chopped garlic cloves and stir-fry for 10 seconds.

Add 50g finely shredded mangetout and 50g finely shredded prosciutto, and stir-fry for about 1 min. Add the noodles, 2 tsp light soy sauce, 2 tsp dark soy sauce,1 tbsp Shaohsing rice wine or dry sherry, ½ tsp white pepper, ½ tsp golden caster sugar, 2 finely chopped spring onions and 1 tsp salt. Stir-fry for 2 mins. Return the chicken and any juices to the noodle mixture. Stir-fry for about 3-4 mins or until the chicken is cooked.

2. Shrimp Fried Rice

-Ingredients-

  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 cups cold cooked rice
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled, optional

-Method-

3. Speedy Salmon Stir-Fry

–Ingredients-

  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat honey mustard salad dressing
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
  • 4 teaspoons canola oil, divided
  • 1 pound salmon fillets, skinned and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen stir-fry vegetable blend
  • 2-2/3 cups hot cooked brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

-Method-

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Pour eggs into skillet. As eggs set, lift edges, letting uncooked portion flow underneath. Remove eggs and keep warm.

Melt remaining butter in the skillet. Add the rice, vegetables and shrimp; cook and stir for 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Meanwhile, chop eggs into small pieces. Return eggs to the pan; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook until heated through, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with bacon if desired.

Firecracker Grilled Salmon

4. Firecracker Grilled Salmon

-Ingredients-

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each).

-Method-

In a small bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. Pour 1/4 cup marinade into a large resealable plastic bag. Add the salmon; seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for up to 30 minutes. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.

Drain salmon, discarding marinade in bag. Place salmon skin-side down on a greased grill rack. Grill, covered, over high heat or broil 3-4 in. from the heat for 5-10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork, basting occasionally with remaining marinade.
